A Compost Cookie from Momofuku Milk Bar.
Any cookie from Milk Bar will do, really. But the chewy, chocolatey, oatmealy richness of the Compost Cookie will be dreamed about on rainy afternoons for years to come.
We asked the baker what the secret was --
"Beat the shit out of the butter and sugar," she said, scooping more cookie onto a baking sheet.

Hhmmm, I haven't eaten there. But I'd love to have that recipe. Did they bake them in a ball like that or flatten them out a bit?
I think they bake them in the ball -- you should look on the Martha Stewart TV website, they just had the baker on a couple of weeks ago. It might add some insight.
I just had another cookie last night -- the marshmallow, cornflake, chocolate chip. It sounds wacky but it might have been better than the compost cookie. Soooo good!!
