It was a 1982 that my sister had bought for her late husband for a Valentine's gift. They moved to Bolivia and couldn't take their wine with them. He then died in Bolivia in a tragic accident. My sister has since remarried and is now living in Burma and I kept asking what she wanted done with the wine. She kept telling me "just drink it." so we had the '82 last Thanksgiving - the fruit was lovely, the tannins were mellow, not a bit of browning or raisin taste. Now my kids got me to buy anothern Amity and keep it for another 30 years. "hey, I won't be able to enjoy it then!" "oh, don't worry Dad!"Dave Stewarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10391480682851639244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33609763.post-28827431377361318022012-05-06T16:09:47.355-07:002012-05-06T16:09:47.355-07:00Oh, congratulations! I mean, the kind of thing that you can tell was made by someone (or a group of people) who want the grapes to be themselves. If that makes sense. Also, it's one of the only wines that doesn't give me a splitting 5-day migraine :).Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06903398489768100311noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-33609763.post-55146431336833532472012-05-03T07:26:25.364-07:002012-05-03T07:26:25.364-07:00Moscato di Terracina Oppidum. At about $12, it's reasonable and probably even toward the splurge end of wines for us (me and bf). But it's so good! I love reds, and this one is easy to drink while having some character.Ileanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16476006127452699496noreply@blogger.com
